What are the legal requirements for including children with special needs in OST programs? How do we handle challenging behaviors? What types of accommodations are needed to support children with differences? How can we train all staff on inclusion?
Join us for an interactive discussion designed to answer YOUR questions on inclusion. We'll share stories and learn about resources to create a welcoming place for all children.

From 2000 to 2009 I worked in the Office of Early Care and Education in the NJ Department of Human Services where I coordinated the Map to Inclusive Child Care Team, managed afterschool contracts, developed resource materials, and conducted state and national trainings. I spent 15 years as a YMCA Director responsible for afterschool, summer camp and teen programs for over 2000 youth annually. Currently I am a private consultant providing consultation, research/evaluation, strategic planning, grant writing and professional development for programs serving youth of all ages.
