The Guilford Before & After School Care Program serves three elementary schools in Guilford. We are open from 7 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
They are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, caring individuals to work 7 am - 9 am and or 3 pm - 6 pm. Experience with school age children (ages 5 -12) is required. CPR and First Aid Training is required and can be provided through our program. Please send resumes to:

Position: Guest Speaker/Mentor (unpaid)
The YWCA STRIVE Program is introducing middle school girls to the after school science plus program with the introduction of a science club into its curriculum. The purpose is to increase student interest in the science and math fields so girls give them serious consideration as career options. They are looking for women in the science and math fields who would be comfortable as a guest speaker for the after school middle school program. The audience is 6th - 8th grade girls. There are two groups that meet at the YWCA and at Pulaski Middle School. The presentation should be about 30 - 45 minutes in length including a time for questions and answers. The more "hands on" the better. They are also looking for workplace employers or higher ed facilities who share the YWCA commitment to increasing girls' interest in science and would be willing to host the girls for a field trip. Mother Goose Children's Center, Inc. is a NAEYC Accredited Child Care Center located in South Windsor, CT. The position is for an after school staff member working with second-fifth grade children upon their returning from school. The position will also include working when the children have: days off from school, snow days, half days and vacation days. Responsibilities include providing a warm and nurturing environment in which the child can grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. In addition, the staff member will work with additional staff to maintain classroom management, program activity planning and communication with parents.
