The YWCA New Britain has openings for two Assistant Youth workers in its STRIVE Program for girls. One position to teach girls the benefits of learning math and science in preparation for school and career, the other to teach girls the skills needed to be successful in school and life.
Hours begin daily 2:30 pm, M-Th or M-F, October through June. Site varies, but all in New Britain.

Morley Extended Day Care, Inc.
PART – TIME Child Care Positions available (August 31, 2010-June 10, 2011)
School-aged children (ages 5-10) seek creative, energetic, reliable, and experienced care-givers for their well-established, licensed Before-and-After-School program at Morley School in West Hartford. Responsibilities include planning and supervising children’s outdoor and indoor activities, providing homework support, and mentoring children in grades kindergarten through five.
Part-time positions are available starting August 31. Morning hours (7:00-8:45) are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Afternoon hours are available (3:00-5:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; 1:45-5:00 on Wednesdays). Schedules can be flexible depending on the applicant’s needs and availability.
Minimum requirements: Applicant must be at least 18 years old and must have experience working with children. A background or course work in education or a related field is preferred. Applicant must be willing to submit to state and federal background checks as well as a medical evaluation and TB test, in compliance with state licensing regulations.
Salary is competitive for the child care field and dependent on the applicant’s level of experience.

The Guilford Before & After School Care Program serves three elementary schools in Guilford. We are open from 7 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
