The Connecticut After School Network is a partnership of individuals and organizations working to ensure that every Connecticut child and youth will have the opportunity to participate in high quality, affordable after school programs.
Connecticut State Department of Education: Child/Family/School Partnerships - CT SDE is a significant partner and major funder of the Network, providing leadership, support and technical assistance. SDE also oversees the CT After-School Advisory Council which provides advice and direction to the Network. Established by Connecticut General Statute §10-16v, key stakeholders and many local decision makers are represented on the Council, and currently include representatives from:

In March 2004, the Connecticut After School Advisory Council released a report on the status of after school in Connecticut.
Connecticut Charts-A-Course (CCAC)- a statewide professional development system for early care and education and program improvement. CCAC worked with the Network and Charter Oak State College to assure the availability of on-line course work specifically related to the delivery and administration of after school programs, which can lead to the acquisition of a credential and bachelor's degree in after school education.
The Youth Development Training and Resource Center (YDTRC) provides training, resources and expertise on positive youth development. The mission of the Youth Development Training and Resource Center is to promote positive youth development by increasing the effectiveness of youth workers and youth-serving organizations in South Central Connecticut and beyond.
The National AfterSchool Association (NAA) - The Connecticut After School Network is an affiliate of NAA. Individual members of the Network are automatically made full members of NAA. For Network membership information please click here.
